Before delivery
What needs settling first
Quality
Besides the standard, the season matters for diesel: winter grades have a different filterability limit (CFPP). If you need a certificate of analysis, please say so.
Quantity
Fuels expand with heat. It should be clear whether billing is in litres at 15 °C, litres at ambient temperature, or tonnes.
Handover
The delivery term sets who bears cost and risk up to which point, for example FCA or DAP under Incoterms 2020. Place and time window belong with it.
Documents
Dangerous goods travel with an ADR transport document; cross-border road transport usually also needs a CMR consignment note. The safety data sheet should be available.
Excise duty
Please state whether the goods are duty paid. Under duty suspension, movement runs through the EMCS system with an electronic administrative document.
Unloading
For delivery to your tank, access, standing room for the tanker and connections all matter. Please include these details.
